Abstract EN

Al-hezaqa (the cleverness) is a term that scholars have known within the framework of mastery in one of the branches of knowledge and science, but cleverness is also a ritual that accompanied the announcement of graduation and the acquisition of a share of scie_ ntific knowledge, when muslims in the middle ages distinguished the learners by a system they called ( Al- ejaza) which meant allowing the learner to he teaches science, and that isthe permission of the elders and teachers to the learner that he has graduated and completed his education.

hezaqa was to accompanied by some ceremonial rituals and manifestations , including (the feast) on graduation day, and writing a graduation letter from the teacher to the student, with a special dress that is often represented in a dress called ( the tailasan ) which is the dress of graduates in the sciences of Islamic civilization.

this research studies the system of hezaqa and describes its rituals in an attempt to explain the rites of scientific graduation in the Middle ages among Muslims.
