Abstract EN

This paper is an applied study of the temporal meaning of structure, to assess the strength of time-dependent expressions as a framework for the action or verb.

The study takes the adverbial conditional sentences headed by لمّا ‘lamma’ as an example to focus on to limit the study within a specific scope.

The study investigates the meaning relationship between the adverbial conditional particle لمّا ‘lamma’ in conditional sentences and the two constituent conditional clauses in terms of meaning, expression of the event and monitoring the temporal movement for both of the لمّا ‘lamma’ clause and main conditional clause between laxity and acceleration.

The temporal movement is monitored through the connection between لمّا ‘lamma’ and coordinating conjunctions الواو ‘waw’ (ولمّا ) and/or الفاء ‘fa’ (فممّا ).
