This study deals with the story of Luqman as narrated in the Quranic text.

It aims to discover the narrative components within that story and to analyze these components in all the narrative levels upon which the story is based.

It attempts showing the structural and artistic functions of these levels as well as their semantic contents and connotations.

The analysis is based on the structural approach and the modern narrative disciplines
