Abstract EN

In this study, the researcher tried to trace the different thought stages of the Arabic thinker Zaki Najeeb Mahfudh showing his thought and methodological tools that helped him to analyze so many Arabic thought issues such as the issue of authenticity and modernity, the issue of the scientific method of thinking and the issue of renewing the Arabic thought.

It has been found that this Arabic thinker has many methodological styles and tools such as the Socratic dialogue style, the historical reality method (historical development), the linguistic analysis and renewing the language, etc.

The researcher employed the philosophical historical approach in his analysis dividing the study into four sections (Aspects of the thought and literary life of this thinker, his thought vision, the issue of authenticity and modernity and renewing the Arabic thought).
