Abstract EN

This study aimed to describe and analyze the issues of social and cultural protest that were addressed and expressed by the Egyptian feature films.

And that is using the survey method through one of its important tools, which is the analysis of the content of about 30 feature films; And through three theoretical approaches: the counter-ideology of Antonio Gramsci, the micro-cinema of Gilles Delouse, and the feminist theory of film.

This study concluded the following results: - The Egyptian narrative cinema dealt with issues of social/cultural protest, the most important of which are: patriarchal and masculine guardianship, human oppression and terrorism, symbolic violence, cultural marginalization, discrimination and violence against women, and the spread of superstition in society.

- The methods of addressing the narrative cinema to the issues of social and cultural protest differed between the use of symbols, through projection, or directly.

- The patriarchal or patriarchal authority, followed by the authority of social norms and traditions, topped the order of social and cultural authorities towards which the film protests are directed.

- Demographic variables played a tangible role in the adoption of the idea of protesting the same heroes of the film protest and their revolutionary tendency against social and cultural authority.
