Abstract EN

The study aimed to monitor, analyze and evaluate Arab and foreign studies related to the effects of rumors in traditional and new media on national security during the period from 2015 to 2020, and to identify the theoretical and methodological frameworks on which the studies subject to analysis relied, and the most important trends of the two Arab and foreign academic schools, by applying a sample of (94) study, divided between (64) Arab studies and (30) foreign studies.

The study concluded with results, the most important of which is the launch of some studies, the analysis sample, from theoretical frameworks, while other studies did not rely on theories.

However, studies that relied on theoretical frameworks were satisfied with theories related to media and communication, and did not bother to mix them with theories of political science and strategy to advance through it.

A theoretical integration that contributes to achieving the results of these studies.
