The study aimed to monitor, analyze and interpret the role of the Anti-Rumors Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting and tracking rumors and fake news related to the Coronavirus, and the mechanisms and strategies that it uses to confront and interact with the networks that it uses in communicating with the public.

The study found that the most common goals of rumor mongers monitored by the Saudi Anti-Rumors Authority are to spread misinformation on social media, Spreading facts and denying rumors also led to the platform's interest in confronting rumors, as evidence and evidence were used to deny and refute rumors and spread the truth, citing real pictures in the face of the fabricated picture or static pictures of the real videos in exchange for the fabricated videos, where most of the rumors contained false information by quoting or cutting from A specific scene and attributing it to another scene or event, and the commission has also criminalized rumors, especially with regard to compromising public security.
