English Abstract

Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq is the sixth Imam of the Shia, he was the Imam for thirty-four years for the duration between (114- 148 AH / 732-765 AD), Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq was the spiritual leader of the Shia, A scholar of the holy book(qara'an) and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (peace and mercy of Allah be upon him), A genius who got his knowledge from the pure source of prophet Muhammad message, His scholars were Zine El Abidine, his father Al Baqir, his grandfather from his mother side Al-Qasim Ibn Muhammad Ibn Abi Bakr, He learned from his scholar's about this life and hereafter, He was the founder of the largest scientific university at the time, the number of the students were about four thousand, The most prominent among them were Abu Hanifa al-Numan, Malik bin Anas and Jaber bin Hayyan al-Kufi, Where he thought the various sciences of jurisprudence, language sciences, philosophical, astronomical, medical, chemical and biology, it was the school of the plenty production on the theoretical and scientific levels.

The era of Imam al-Sadiq was characterized by a lack of political pressure due to the weakness of bani 'amih and banii aleibaas governments, where the first one just collapsed and the instability of the second.

The imam benefited from this opportunity to spread authentic Islamic knowledge of 'ahl albayt.

He used this knowledge and science to counter the intellectual deviation prevalent among Muslims, The Imam was combating the atheism by his legitimate and scientific arguments, The Imam used this methodology as his alternative to the sword and military solutions, he rejected the offers that came from the Shia and the other Islamic groups to rise against bani 'amih and banii aleibaas governments, because the Imam had his own methodology of jihad in light of his knowledge and obligation as the Imam at that time.
