مشكلات المرأة السورية اللاجئة في الأردن : دراسة اجتماعية في محافظة البلقاء

Abstract EN

The study aimed at identifying the problems faced by Syrian women refugee related to themselves, their families, and the surrounding society, and the impact of qualitative variables on the problems experienced by Syrian women refugee.

The study sample consisted of (112) Syrian women refugees selected from the women who visited social institutions in Qasabt Al-Salt, and they were selected in a comprehensive survey.

Descriptive statistics scales were used, analysis of variance and Scheffe test were applied.

Results revealed that the most problems encountered by the women that related to their selves were feeling of subordination, marginalization, intensive sympathy by others, and sexual abuse outside home.

Women problems related to their families were their children resorting to others to meet their basic needs as a result of the hard economic conditions, securing family expenses which hinder them to freely make proper family decisions.

In terms of the problem related to their society, women felt that the level of services given by refugee institutions were insufficient, difficulties in affording psychological and financial support, and they felt as strangers.

Further, results showed that there were significant statistical differences in the problems level according to women age in favor of (18-25) years old, and there were differences in favor of women who were not working.

The study recommends that increase community awareness of refugees and encourage them to be involved in solution.
