The study seeks to highlight the importance of blocs and regional orientation as one of the features of integration in the contemporary world, in the face of common threats.

If we compare the EU's achievements with those of the Maghreb Union in managing migration flows, we clearly record the weak coordination and cooperation between the Maghreb Union in dealing with this problem, which in turn is negatively reflected on the Union's achievements.

By contrast, we record the successes that the EU has made in coordinating its efforts to counter the problem of migration, through collective agreements and treaties that reflect the importance of unifying policies in dealing with issues where it sees a threat to its cohesion and national security.
