The reason for the lack of sustainable agricultural development in the study area and its apparent exposure to the many crisis and obstacles that accompanied the economic development plans from the seventies to the present time, which affected the economic structures with productive imbalances resulting from the backwardness and low level of economic systems and failure to follow a sustainable agricultural well-defined policy.

The research aims to identify the agricultural development in Diyala Province and identify the most important challenges it faces, so we can provide a number of proposals to address challenges to achieve a sustainable agricultural development.
