Abstract EN

The current study aims at drawing a complete picture of the religious situation in Yemen before and after Islam.

It also shows the historical line of the emergence of trends and sects which appeared in Yemen during the different historical stages; the most important of which are: the external trend, the Shiite trend with its two parts Zaidi and Ismaili and the Sufi trend.

The study at hand clarifies the conditions of the emergence of such trends and their relationship with the ruling authority in that time, as well as the stages of the spread and decline of them in the history of Yemen.
