Abstract EN

This search aims to clarify the jurisprudential ruling related to the acquaintance limits between betrotheds.

For this purpose, there was a necessity to clarify two concepts.

The first issue lies in clarifying the concepts of betrothal and the gist of legality of betrothal.

The Second issue is to clarify the meaning of acquaintance between betrotheds, its controls, its aspects and what is the judgment of Sharia as to if it is legal or not.

The research tackled as well the looking limits between betrotheds and exploring the differences of theologians if it is restricted or retracted and extended, and studying that in fundamental and juristic perspective.

For this purpose, the researcher used three approaches, the inductive, descriptive and deductive approach.

Finally, the research clarified the legality of using modern social networks in acquaintance between betrotheds.

One of the most significant results of the study is exploring the permissible part of fiancée’s body to be seen by the betrothed, and how he can see the straightness of his fiancée.

This study also states that it is permissible for each of betrotheds to be acquainted to each other through modern means of communication in various forms, but with care and caution in using of these of means because they may be followed by some abuses.
