Abstract EN

The aim of this research was to identify the impact of using the Blackboard and Edmodo systems in developing the skills of using the digital content and the awareness of intellectual property by the students of the foundational year at Princess Noura Bint Abdul Rahman University.

To achieve this goal, the researcher designed an electronic learning environment according to both the Blackboard and the Edmodo systems.Tow questionaire were prepared, one to assess the skills of using digital contents, and the other one to know the degree of awareness of intellectual property Both were who applied to the sample of the study, which numbered 148 female students, were randomly divided into two experamental me ineladed groups: the first experimental group studied using the system, and it Blackboard was corrpased of 61students and the second experimental group has studied using the Edmodo system and contaied (87) students.The results of the study showed that there was a significant statistical difference between the average of both experimental group I and II in the post-application to identify the skills of using the digital content at the level of 0.05 favouring students of the second experimental group, Also that there was no significant statistical difference between the intermediate scores of the first and second experimental groups in the post-application to identify intellectual property awareness of digital content, The study recommended making use of learning management systems (Blackboard and Edmodo) to improve teaching methods at universities and to support them with technological innovations; Also study activate the role of e-courses, to develop learners' skills and provide appropriate learning environments to integrate technology into the learning process.
