Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the competency standards that must be observed when selecting the educational leader in relation to general to education in Sudan (Jabal awlya location in the state of Khartoum as a model) and to know the extent of individual differences statistical significance at the level of the function (0.05) in relation to the competency standards that must be taken into account when choosing the educational leader with regard to general education in Sudan from the point of view of the research sample.

The method used in the research is the descriptive method.

The research community consisted of educational educators in the locality of Jabal awlya Khartoum state for the academic years (2019 – 2020 m) when they numbered (321 individuals).

A random sample was chosen from the research community consisting of (187 individuals with a percentage of 58.3%).The research tool was the questionnaire provided to educational supervisors in Jabal Awlia locality.

To address the study data, many descriptive and non-parametric statistical methods were used, using statistical packages for social sciences, which are denoted by the acronym (spss).

The research reached the results of the most important of them: the criterion of seniority and career progression is still prevalent as a criterion in choosing educational leaders in Sudan they must important competencies that must be available in the educational leader when choosing it is that it must be educational trained in the field of educational leadership, especially in the field of technologies modern educational, and there are no statistically significant differences between the average of the responses of the members of the research sample about the competency criteria that must be available when selecting the educational leaders for general education in Sudan due to the type and no to the variable of the academic qualification, and the variable of the numbers of years of experience, while statistics have proven, the presence statistically significant differences attributable to the variable of the educational stage in which the educational supervisor works and it was in favor of secondary school supervisors.
