Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to measure the effect of using computers in teaching on the academic achievement of students in the basic schools in the computer course, and to identify the role of computer in raising the level of students' interaction with the course content.

Also the obstacles that faced with its use in teaching.

The researchers used the experimental and descriptive approaches, the data were collected using a post-test, questionnaire and observation.

The research sample consisted of (59) male and female students, divided into an experimental group (25) and a control group (34).

The experimental group was taught using the computer, while the control group was taught in the traditional way, and then they were subjected to the post-achievement test.

That in addition to (36) teachers who filled the questionnaire.

After analyzing the results of the post-test and the questionnaire using the (SPSS) program, and the observation manually, the researchers reached several results, and the most important results are that: there are no statistical significant differences at the level of statistical significance (0.05) between the average scores of the post-test for the two groups, the experimental and the control.

Computer enhances students' level of interaction with course content and lessons, in addition to a number of other features.

There are also a number of difficulties and obstacles that limit the use of computer in teaching and learning according to research limits.

In light of these results, the researchers presented a number of recommendations, the most important of which is the provision of computers and their accessories, in addition to educational software, generally, prepare the environment and the infrastructure.

And the researchers emphasizes on the necessity of teachers training on employing computer in education.

The researchers suggest to studying the readiness of schools in rural areas to provide an appropriate environment for employing computers in the educational process.
