Abstract EN

This study aimed to verify the impact of using educationonal games to develop reading skills is (Arabic language) for second grade students in (basic education), locality Jebel Aulia, mesuring the individual differences among students, compared with the traditional teaching methods.

The researchers used the experimental method.

They designed an educational program which it was applied to the target group.

The experimental group taught using the educational games, while the control group taught by the traditional way.

The study sample consisted of 40 students, were selected randomly and data collection tool, cognitive test, the researchers used statistical software packages (SPSS) for data processing.

The most important results of the study, there are no statistical significant differences at the level of significance (0.

05) in academic achievement between the second grade students in basic education, who have studied the Arabic language course using educational games and among their peers in the same grade who taught using the traditional method of teaching.

The study also proved that teaching method using educational games are more effective for individual, differences among students, this study recommended the employment of educational games in teaching of all Arabic language skills.
