Traditional industries are a vital factor that contributes significantly to preserving the national identity and cultural identity of Algerian society.

It also contributes effectively to reducing economic dependence and creating new jobs and thus is a source of income for members of society in general and women in particular rural areas.

The Algerian state has put in place several ways and means to contribute to the sustainable development of Algerian society.

However, the reality shows the decline of the Algerian traditional industry due to the lack of material means to contribute to the traditional and handicraft industries of rural women on the one hand and the absence of the role of associations in accompanying rural women to market Their products are on the other hand.

In this intervention, we will address the role of rural women in the promotion of traditional and handicraft industries in Algeria.
