The search aims to identify: 1- The cognitive motivation of middle school students.
2- The difference in the cognitive motivation according to the gender variable.
The current research was limited to middle school students in the city of Diwaniyah for the academic year 2018-2019.
200 students were selected, 100 students and 100 students.
The researcher then constructed a measure of its final form after extracting its cykometric properties from (34) paragraphs.
Using the appropriate statistical means to analyze students' answers on the cognitive motivation scale, the results showed the following: 1 - The middle school students have an average knowledge motivation 2.
There is no difference between males and females in cognitive motivation.
The researcher explained the results of his research by reading the theoretical frameworks and the results of previous studies and the conditions of public life experienced by students and reached a number of recommendations and proposals.
