Abstract EN

The present paper is an attempt to highlight the Algerian critical awareness in the eighth century AH, through the model of the critic Ibn Marzouq al-Hafid, who is an important scholar of the Algerian old criticism, due to his influence on the critics of the Arab Maghreb, as well as the Algerian ones - despite the relativity of what we have achieved of the Algerian critic heritagethrough his critical writings.

His most prominent book "Showing sincerity of affection in explaining al-Burdah" in which he had presented explanations and analysis of the text of al-Burdah by the poet al-Busairi in seven parts: Explanation of the stranger, the interpretation, the meanings, eloquently, metaphors, declension and the Sufi signs.

Within this framework we attempt at defining the approach that he had adopted in his critical book, as well as clarifying the most important critical issues that he raised, as well as his knowledge reference in explaining and analyzing
