شبه جزيرة سيناء أرض مصرية شبه صحراوية.
تبلغ مساحتها نحو 61 كم2.
و هي ذات أهمية استراتيجية، بحكم موقعها المطل على خليجي العقبة و السويس و البحر الأبيض المتوسط و البحر الأحمر.
و فيها الكثير من الثروات الباطنية.
بالإضافة إلى أهميتها السياحية.
أحتلتها "إسرائيل" عام 1967، و شيدت فيها ما يربو على 20 مستوطنة مدنية (صناعية، و سياحية، و زراعية)، مستغلة بذلك خيراتها.
ثم اتخذت من احتلالها بعد ذلك ورقة ضغط سياسية على مصر-التي فشلت في استعادتها كاملة في حرب عام 1973- لتطبيع العلاقة معها.
و سحبها من دائرة الصراع (العربي-الإسرائيلي).
حتى تمكنت من تحقيق ذلك بعد عقد اتفاقيات سلام مع مصر.
وبناء على ذلك، أنهت "إسرائيل" احتلالها لسيناء عام 1982، باستثناء طابا، التي تأخر الانسحاب الإسرائيلي منها حتى مطلع عام 1989.
Abstract EN
The peninsula of Sinai is an Egyptian semi-desert land which its area reaches 61 km2.
It has a strategic importance because it locates on gulfs of a Al-Aqaba and Suez, the Mediterranean sea and the Red sea.
It contains much of natural fortunes in addition to its touristic importance.
It was occupied by "Israel" in 1967 and built in it than 20 civilian colony (industrial, touristic and agricultural) by using its four tunes then Israel took it as a pressing card on Egypt-which failed to regain it completely in the war of 1973 to normalize the relationship with "Israel" which achieved that by making a peace treaty with Egypt in 1979.
Israeli withdrawal, then, was completed from Sinai in 1989.
