The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world.

Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of the classroom.

As a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms.

So online activities, such as education and work, have become among the main methods that countries have resorted to confront the repercussions of the spread of the Corona virus.

The great technological progress in the field of communications has made it possible to run an entire educational cycle without the need for students and teachers to be present in a narrow space, while allowing - at the same time - to take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of “Corona”.

Despite the multiple positive returns that distance education achieves.

However, it faces several challenges, especially in developing countries that do not have a strong technological infrastructure, so this study will focus on examining the reality of international experiences in the practices of the activities of the distance learning system for the public education sector to face the repercussions of the spread of the “Corona” virus, analyzing the literature and reviewing opinions Identify the aspects of success and failure, draw a set of results, and provide a set of relevant recommendations.

The results of these experiments revealed a number of pros and cons.

Among the positives: distance education transfers the educational process from the teacher to the learner, and makes it the focus of the educational process, making the learner active and positive all the time.

The most important negatives are: the shortage and the need for training on the use of the Internet and modern technologies, whether for some teachers or students.

The study ended with providing a set of recommendations in the light of the results, the most important of which is giving training courses in the field of e-learning to both students and teachers, and training and encouraging teachers to communicate with students through electronic pages and e-mail.
