Abstract EN

This research aimed to analyze the subjects of Arabic language books for the middle level school related to the Arabic language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).

To achieve the goal of the research, a special standard has been prepared consisting of 12 items for speaking skill, 12 items for reading skill and 12 items for writing skill.

The researcher used the descriptive methodology and adopted the content analysis method using (the idea unit) and (the sentence unit).

The research sample included Arabic language books for the middle level school in all there parts, where the number of analyzed pages reached 812 pages for all books as follows: The first grade book was of 280 pages, the second grade book was of 270 pages and the third grade book was of 262 pages The researcher conducted the validity and reliability coefficient using the Cooper stability equation, which equal to (0.90), and then she applied her own standard using frequency and percentages.

The search results were: The skills of Arabic language was distributed proportionately in the sample books of the Arabic language, where the writing skill has get the first rank among the skills followed by the skill of listening and then speaking and reading respectively.

As respect of levels, the second grade get the first rank then the third grade was the second and the first grade was the third.

The researcher recommended the necessity of holding training courses for teachers and enhancing the role of Arabic language supervisors in evaluating teachers ’performance to develop Arabic language skills for students.
