Abstract EN

The objective of the study is to understand and identify the various internal and external challenges facing Arab water security, which has been considered as one of the most important issues and among the most controversial subjects.

Hence, in addition to its being a complex issue that has economic, social, technical, and legal dimensions, it is also a security and strategic issue at the same time since it relates to the life of the countries and peoples in the region given the rapid political and democratic changes in the region.

The study concluded by presenting an attempt to develop a vision that contributes to build and activate a water strategy in the light of the scarcity and limitation of this resource; the strategy is based on concepts related mainly to the management of water resources through rationalization of its consumption, development, and addition of new water resources.
