Abstract EN
This study aimed to determine the financial position of the researched companies and the extent of their vulnerability to financial distress.
The study used the descriptive and deductive approaches in preparing the theoretical framework and the Z-score function to predict the financial distress of insurance companies.
The study findings indicated that the researched insurance companies are facing a state of financial distress.
The study concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: the need for the supervisory authorities of the insurance sector in Sudan to conduct financial analysis, besides using statistical measures to discover the distressed companies and work to correct their situations.
