The aim of the research is to shed light and bring the attention of the Kurdistan RegionIraq administration to the topic of looking ahead, because of its importance, represented by numbers and willingness, and making efforts to possess all the strengths of elements that qualify the region to assume its role within the global framework.

For this reason, the research attempted to address The problems related to the concept of future studies, its principles, components, techniques, and the extent of its potential to settle in the region, its challenges, and ways to overcome it.

The research attempted to answer these problems by using the descriptive and analytical approach, and to adopt information provided from its various sources, as well as what is reflected in the concrete reality of the region.

The importance of the research lies in the fact that it deals with a very important topic, and the research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: that future studies are science that adopts principles, and they have common ingredients and techniques, and are characterized by global application.
