Abstract EN

Allah has blessed the country of Hijaz with the existence of the two holy mosques, which have been the destination for Muslims from all over the world since the appearance of Islam until now, Pilgrims and visitors of these holy sites create economic activities.

Scholars from different parts of the Islamic world met each other in these Holy sites or mosques They studied various religious issues.

Consequently this flourished the scientific movement in these two Holy Mosques.

This study investigates the efforts of the Ottomans in the development of the scientific movement in the two Holy Mosques during the tenth Hegira century.

This period witnessed an important event in the history of Al-Hijaz as it became under the Ottoman influence.

The Ottoman Sultans and before them the Mamluks have played important roles in the renaissance of science and knowledge due to their great financial and moral support and the construction of scientific institutions.

During this period, the scientific movement in the two Holy sites has witnessed great development.

The Ottomans support led to the expansion and establishment of schools such as the four Sulaymaniyah schools established by Sultan Suleiman Alqanony
