Abstract EN

The current study investigates the thought heritage of environmental sociology with reference to human negative and positive behaviour towards the environment.

Reviewing that heritage revealed a fact that the environment caught the attention of a large number of sociologists as an area of research or a variable for analysis and interpretation.

The researcher focused on the sociological view of dealing with the environment.

He found out that there are so many views and theoretical approaches which explain human behaviour towards environment.

Some of these approaches are classic and some are modern.

He also found out that the best way to explain the human behaviour towards environment is to adopt more than one approach that is to say to adopt an integrative approach.
