Abstract EN

The study aimed to reveal the extent of the dependence of Egyptian and Saudi teenagers on media to obtain information during health crises by applying the pandemic of the emerging corona virus.

the sample of the study was (500) respondents, from Egyptian and Saudi teenagers, including males and females.

to achieve the objective of the descriptive study, measures were built, and statistical treatments were performed.

the general results indicated that most of the respondents were keen to follow the developments of the corona pandemic on media at a high level.

the study also found that the majority of the respondents were affected by cognitive, emotional, and behavioral aspects as a result of their dependence on the media about the developments of the corona virus pandemic.

the study found differences between adolescent groups who represent different levels of knowledge and levels of confidence in health crises, based on the scale of the effects of reliance on the media as a source of information, namely cognitive effects, emotional effects, and behavioral influences.
