Abstract EN

In the Iraqi war on Iran or what is known as the First Gulf War, the US administration found a mechanism to contain the Iranian Islamic Revolution, overthrow the regime, weaken Tehran, and on the other hand restrain and curtail the Iraqi regime by a war that is draining its forces.

This is a supreme interest of the United States and Israel.

The US role in the declaration of the first Gulf War After the hostility of the Iraqi government towards Iran and the facilities it was given in a way that enabled it to wage war on Iran, US President Ronald Reagan found in his predecessor Carter's policy of using military forces as a weapon As the policy of the United States global, But Carter's failure to solve the political problems he faced in his late years prompted Ronald Reagan to deal with the US interests in a different way.

He considered it necessary to step up the military forces and consider them the basis of US foreign policy, strengthen the Ministry of Defense and publish new rules.

In the region and dealing with Israel as an ally that must be strengthened and strengthened its existence, and the need to find permanent centers in the region that have the ability to influence the political situation and thus ensure control over the Middle East, Iraq has made a major turnaround in military construction when it developed its nuclear capabilities, prompting Israel to bomb the Iraqi nuclear reactor.

Despite the easing of US-Iraqi relations, the Reagan administration reacted flexibly to Iraq's use of nuclear energy after easing restrictions on But the security of Israel is the very success of its relationship with Iraq and that the possession of Iraq such a weapon poses a threat to the security of Israel, Especially in light of the Soviet threat in the region, and therefore allowed Israel to collect intelligence on the nature of the work of the Iraqi nuclear reactor and thus dealt with the pragmatism that serves its interests and gave the green light to Israel to strike the Iraqi nuclear reactor.

We also presented a table reviewing the accession of Iraq and the rest of the Arab States to that Treaty As the crisis unfolded, the US administration embarked on its strategy of preserving the region from Soviet influence, securing energy centers and preserving Israel's security
