English Abstract
This study aims at identifying the impact of using science fiction stories in developing creative thinking skills in the “Science and Life” course for fifth grade students in Gaza.
The researchers used the quasi-experimental method to conduct this study.
The study sample consisted of 70 female students in the fifth grade at Badr Elementary School (A) for girls.
The researchers randomly chose two classes and divided them into 35 students as an experimental group who studied using science fiction stories and 35 students as a control group who studied in the traditional method.
The study tools were creative thinking skills test and the teacher’s guide based on science fiction stories.
The study found that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups students in the creative thinking skills posttest in favor of the experimental group.
