This paper deals''am''as an interrogative particle.Most books dealt with interrogatives do not mention'' am '' as such as ''alhamz'' and'' hel'' ,but they mention it as used in interrogation contexts with ''alhamza''.

Aftea thorugh investigation in linguistic references.it is fond that''am''is used as an interrogative paqticls in the Glorious Qur'an as welll as poetic speech.

this justifies its study and its position.

The paper is divided into many sections which include: definftions of particles, the conce of interrogatives ,its particls and meaning , ''am''as relative and separate''am''as interrogative particle and its position in the Glorious Qur'an ,poetey,scholar's speeches,ancient and modern,with its conclusion.
