The aim of the current research is to know (the effectiveness of teaching according to the theory of information processing in achievement and visual intelligence in the subject of social studies among second-grade intermediate students) The researcher used the experimental design with partial control with two equal experimental and control groups, and according to this design, the research sample was randomly selected from the research community that was represented (in the governmental day-to-day schools and secondary schools in Karbala governorate center affiliated to the General Directorate of Education of Karbala) and it was (Al-Thuraya Intermediate School for Girls).

The researcher between the two groups in the following variables: chronological age calculated in months, intelligence, previous test of information, parental achievement, previous achievement in the subject of sociology, and the scientific material identified the first three chapters (the first: the geography of the Arab world, the second: the Arab world (population and economic activity), The third: Conditions of the Arabian Peninsula before Islam) from the book on social studies for the second intermediate grade, ed1, 1439 AH / 2018AD.

The behavioral objectives of these chapters were formulated as their final number reached (160) behavioral objectives, and with regard to the two research tools, the researcher intended to build my tool The research, which was represented by an achievement test in the subject of social studies, consisted of (50) objective paragraphs of the multiple choice type with four alternatives.

The second tool was the scale of Visual intelligence towards the social subject, which consists in its final form of (34) paragraphs.

After applying the two research tools and statistically analyzing the results obtained by the researcher using the Microsoft Excel program and the (SPSS) system, the results showed the superiority of the experimental group students who studied according to the infographic technique over the control group students who studied according to the usual method of achievement test and visual intelligence scale.
