Abstract EN

This article addresses the possibility of putting European Islam into practice from two perspectives.

On the one hand, a compromise between secularism and Islam in Olivier Roy work was discussed.

On the other hand, the perspective of Tariq Ramadan on how to make Islamic sources in the new European context live was as well discussed.

So this paper adopts an analytical and critical approach based on explaining and evaluating European Islam among the authors relying on various sources.

The study concludes that European Islam is achievable because Europe is a secular and democratic space; therefore a Muslim can be both a believer and a citizen.

As for the trend that claims “there is no European Islam as opposed to a traditional Islam” is just a delusion for the spread and cultural integration of Islam on the continents which makes us realize a diverse Islam on Africa, Asia and America.
