The role of citizens in the preservation of the environment, which is now an important issue of international policy and for which states are now developing strategies and allocating the necessary resources to preserve the environment and prevent the harmful depletion that has lasted for centuries.

Its effects today threaten human existence and future generations.

In this sense, States have sought to take new measures to preserve the environment and its resources by starting to develop the necessary strategies, as well as by developing citizen education programs on the dangers of waste of natural resources or use that is harmful to the environment and the important role that citizens play at this important stage of environmental conservation, because the individual is the building block of society.

Thus, any policies that States seek to pursue contribute in part to those that depend on how individuals deal with the environment, how to preserve it and avoid wasting their resources, thereby enhancing the process of sustainable development and thus contributing to the promotion of environmental citizenship, the role of the individual in preserving the environment and the peaceful development of its resources, which will ensure the continued existence of future generations
