Abstract EN

Research Topic The research deals with the sayings of al-Imam Ahmad on the abrogating and the abrogated from Ibn al-Jawzi’s book “Nawasikh al-Qur’an”, from the beginning to the end of Surat al-Baqarah.

Research Objective Compiling, studying, and highlighting the sayings of al-Imam Ahmad on the abrogating and the abrogated as a separate work.

Research Problem What are the sayings of al-Imam Ahmad on the abrogating and the abrogated reported in the sources, assuming that his book on the issue is missing? Research Findings 1.

Some of the teachers of al-Imam Ahmad are scholars of exegesis, some of whom have book on abrogation, and I wrote the biography of seven of his prominent sources.

The book on abrogation by al-Imam Ahmad is greatly unique as he is a scholar of both exegesis and Hadith.

It shows that extra care was given to the narrations due to which we can declare them as authentic.

Undoubtedly, the issue of abrogation requires precision because of its connection with Islamic law.

The sayings of al-Imam Ahmad on abrogation in Surat al-Baqarah reach 37, three linked to the Prophet (s.a.w.), though weak reports, nine attributed to the Sahabah, one with authentic transmission, while the two good, and the remaining six weak, and the remaining 28 through disconnected transmission, 11 authentic, 12 good, and 5 weak.
