Abstract EN

Research Topic: The research is about the totally new additions of Dimyati to the book of one of the great scholars of exegesis Ibn ‘Uzair al-Sijistani, “Tafsir Ghareeb al- Qur’an”, which he made in the footnotes.

Research Objective: Introducing the additions of al-Dimyati to the book of Ghareeb al-Qur’an of Ibn ‘Uzair and highlighting this important aspect of Qur’anic sciences i.e., Ghareeb (exceptional).

Research Problem: The only copy of manuscript with some defects such as missing words from the footnotes, as I couldn’t get another copy for clarification.

Research Findings: 1.

The status of Ibn ‘Uzair in Ghareeb al-Qur’an, his vast knowledge of the issue and how he benefited from his teacher, Ibn al-Anbari.

Al-Dimyati’s command over this field and his capacity to add to Ibn ‘Uzair important and precise additions.

3.

Variety of al-Dimyati’s method in his additions to Ibn ‘Uzair.
