Abstract EN

This study deals with the meanings of religious heritage in the poetry of Jamal Kawar.

The aim of the study was to identify the religious heritage in both the Holy Quran and the Old and New Testaments.

To achieve this goal, the study was divided into two sections.

The first topic dealt with the meanings of the Islamic religious heritage in the poetry of Jamal Kawar.

This section included a presentation of the tools of heritage exploitation either by quoting the religious text or by making modifications to the text.

The second topic deals with the heritage of the two religions: Judaism and Christianity.

This section presents examples of the use of texts from the Old and New Testaments, as well as the recall of some historical figures, particularly, the personality of Christ, and the personality of the Virgin Mary.

The study concludes that Jamal Kawar, sometimes, quoted some religious texts from the Holy Quran or the Old Covenants, and at other times, he borrowed the religious heritage through the use of meaning.
