Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the role of collective ijtihad (the exercise of Islamic legal reasoning by a group of clerics) in the face of the jurisprudential developments in the Muslim diaspora.

the study consists of a theoretical part and a practical part.

the theoretical part seeks to demonstrate the importance of collective ijtihad، which confronts the jurisprudential chaos in the Muslim diaspora by reducing the space for the pretenders of jurisprudence، who have issued fatwas without adherence to the established rules and regulations.

as for the practical part of this study، it shows some of the manifestations of the commitment of Islamic jurisprudence institutions in the west to this jurisprudential approach، which is based on consultation and studying among scholars، through a number of religious، social, cultural, economic and family issues، and many other issues faced by Muslims in the diaspora.
