The book (the (Kashif ) detector in knowing who has a narration in the six books) is organized by Imam al-Dhahabi (748 AH) in a series of several books taken from the book (perfection in the names of men) by Abdul-Ghani al-Maqdisi (T.

600 AH) as a basis for it.

the most important of which is the book (refining perfection in the names of men) of Abu al-Hajjaj al-Mazi (d.

742 AH), who became the authoritative for books written after him in the Six Men of Books.

It can be said that the al-Dhahabi abbreviated it from the book of the Mezzi, and that is either a fact; assuming that the al-Dhahabi abbreviated the book of the revelation directly from the book of refining perfection, or it was a presumption; either way, the perfect polishing book is the root of the Kashif book.

from this standpoint, this research comes to shed light on al-Dhahabi’s approach to judging narrators through the book al-kashif.

al-Dhahabi began his book with an introduction in a few lines in which he mentioned his condition in whom he would translate, and the symbols that he would adopt, then listed the translations in alphabetical order, beginning with the narrators of the six books men, presenting in that names, then the nickname, then a chapter in the sons, then a chapter in the genealogies, then the titles, then the vague, then women among the narrators of the six books, starting with the names, then the nickname from the women, and the number of biographies of the book (7179 biographies).
