Abstract EN

World countries are applying several options to limit the spread of the emerging corona virus in new regions.

Measures may include imposing a quarantine on individuals, which involves restricting their movement or isolating individuals in good health who may have been exposed to the virus from the rest of the population, in order to monitor symptoms and detect cases early.

the aim of this study is to use geographic information systems(GIS) in the field of public health, in order to choose the most appropriate areas to be a health isolation area in Jeddah city, to reduce the spread of the epidemic in the rest of the region.

through the process of collecting, processing and analyzing data to obtain results, it helps in making decisions.

the obtained results indicate that al-Oweija and al-Remal are the most appropriate areas in Jeddah city to implement sanitary insulation, due to several criteria, which are the natural factors associated with the site, service infrastructure and urban expansion.
