This article questions the theme of assimilation in the story of Mouloud Feraoun: The Roads That Rise (1957).
Our main goal is to consider the way in which the novelist deals with the assimilation through the threads of his novelistic creation, by seeking how the novelist reveals the theme of assimilation through his story? The roads that rise develops an emblematic plot that questions the colonial ideology applied in the Algerian territory.
The author relates the movement of this policy through the characters.

Ce présent article s’interroge sur le thème d’assimilation dans le récit de Mouloud Feraoun : Les chemins qui montent (1957).
Notre principal but est d’envisager la manière dont le romancier traite l’assimilation à travers les fils de sa création romanesque, en cherchant comment le romancier dévoile-t-il le thème d’assimilation à travers son récit ? Les chemins qui montent développe une trame emblématique qui met en question l’idéologie coloniale appliquée dans le territoire algérien.
L'auteur relate le mouvement de cette politique à travers les personnages.
