Abstract EN

The research aims at analyzing of the content of “the basics of Geography and its techniques “ academic book of fourth preparatory schools of the academic year 2019/2020 based on productive thinking skills.

To achieve the aims of the study the researcher uses the descriptive analytical approach due to its suitability with the research topic.

The research tool is built based on the list of productive thinking skills after reviewing similar previous research.

The tool is submitted to jury members specialized in curriculum, methods of teaching, psychology, measurement and evaluation, and Geography.

The tool consists of (7) productive thinking skills and each of these skills contains some sub-skills which in total be (56) items.

The researcher analyzes all the book pages after excluding pages of the introduction and that of the reviewing questions after each chapter which are (15) pages.

The research concludes that there is an inclusion of the projective thinking skills in each chapter but in different rates.

The researcher submitted some recommendations among them are the necessity of embedding the syllabus of Geography with the productive thinking skills besides joining teachers in the directorates of education with sessions focus on analyzing the content of the academic books and to get benefit from the results of the present study.
