Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the role of educational information management system "OpenEmis" of the Jordanian Ministry of Education to meet administrative and educational needs of Ma'an schools staff, and their satisfaction.

The researcher used the analytical descriptive method and a questionnaire as a main tool for data collection.

The study sample consisted of (280) members from Ma’an schools.

The results revealed that the educational information management system is highly effective to address the administrative and educational needs, in which the social needs are met first, then the academic, and finally the administrative needs.

Also, there are no statistically significant differences in the average scores of the study sample because of the study variables such as social type, educational qualification, years of service, and job title.

Additionally, the results clear that the level of satisfaction is moderate.

Thus, training sessions for the system users to measure its developments, are recommended.
