Abstract EN

The study aimed at findindout the effect of a training program based on the Kolb model on improving the practive of reflective teaching among basic school English language teachers in Jordan.

The study adopted the quasi- experimental design and was applied to the study subjects of the English language teachers for the basic stage, consisting of (54) male and female teachers by (27) male teachers and (27) female teachers, in the basic schools of the First Amman Education Directorate.

In collecting data, the researcher relied on an observation card to measure the practice of reflective teaching.

Validity and reliability of the tools were assured.

The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the experimental groups and the control group, in any of the modified means for the sub-dimensions of the reflective thinking scale.

There were no statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups in the modified means for the reflective thinking.

The findings of the statistical analysis showed that there were no significant differences in any of the sub-dimensions of the reflective thinking scale attributed to the interaction between the group and (gender and experience) variables.

The results also showed no statistically significant differences between the modified means of reflective thinking of basic stage English teachers due to interaction between group variable and gender and experience variables
