Abstract EN

This study aimed to findout the effect of a counseling program based on psychodrama in reducing the level of learned helplessness in a sample of abused women.

The program was applied to a group of women who review the Um Wasfi Center for Social Services in Amman, who they are (19-53) years old.

The study was applied on a sample of (30) women equally assigned on two groups are experimental and control group, each group has (15) abused women.

To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher developed the learned helplessness scale and a counseling program based on psychodrama ,the program consisted of (10) sessions, The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups on the learned helplessness scale for the experimental group, The experimental group subjects maintained improvement when the follow-up measurement was performed
