Abstract EN

The study aimed at revraling the degree to which national and civic education books include patterns of social responsibility for the upper basic stage in Jordan.

To achieve the objective of the study, the descriptive analytical methodology was used.

The researchers designed a tool to analyze the content of national and civic education books for the classes under study.

Frequencies and percentages of social responsibility patterns were extracted.

The results showed that the most common patterns in the books were the pattern of individual responsibility towards society, and the pattern of the individual’s responsibility towards himself, his family and others, and the pattern of his responsibility towards his school was included at a law rate.

The study recommended that attention should be paid in a sequential manner in the national education books.
