Abstract EN

The financial crisis of 2008 highlighted several effects on the economies of developed countries, including the failure of monetary policy to expect and manage the phenomenon of stagflation, Due to several factors, the most prominent of which, according to proponents of the demand thesis, is the aging of the population, so we aim from this research to know the relationship between the variables of the age structure of the population and inflation in the Arab environment for the period 2010-2019 within three axes, a theoretical axis that includes an overview of explain the relationship according to various empirical studies, and two practical axes that study the reality and the Econometric structure, We concluded that the inflation rate is directly affected by the growth of the group of young people and inversely with the growth of the active population group within the stage of benefiting from the demographic window.
