Abstract EN

The current study is concerned with research in the communicator in the new media environment: new challenges, resources and roles.

This is through studying the application of new technologies by the Algerian journalist, especially with the enormous development that journalism is witnessing which in itself contributed to the development of journalism.

This research aims at recognizing the influence of modern technologies and their usage by Algerian journalists to promote journalistic practices.

The study population is made up of Algerian journalist working in the field of the printing press in national newspaper in Annaba (Not reporters).

In the process of gathering data, the researcher made use of a questionnaire.

The study results show that most Algerian journalists especially the young holding university degrees use modern technological tools and devices in their field of work.

The study also reveals that the majority of journalists are keeping up with modern technologies and utilize the internet and other necessary tools while doing their jobs.

Even the majority of journalistic institutions keep pace with technological developments in the field of media and communication.
