The study aims at identifying the uses of Algerian women for documentary programs in the specialized Arab satellite channels and the Gratifications obtained from them.

We adopted the survey method and the questionnaire.

And we applied a random sample of women from Tebessa city (50 individuls).

The main results were that the majority of the sample always watching Documentary programs, where the main motivations for "following up new scientific events and developments" and " Identifying different aspects of human activity".

Where Abu Dhabi National Geographic topped the list of favorite channels.

And was the most important Gratifications obtained in "acquisition of diverse information in various fields", and "access to different cultures".
